Glu Mobile to develop Call of Duty 4 for mobile phones
Mobile game publisher Glu Mobile Inc. has said in a statement that they are collaborating with videogame publisher Activision Inc to develop a version of the game Call of Duty 4 for mobile devices.
Greg Ballard, Glu’s chief executive added that their partnership with Activision is a worldwide exclusive. However, he did not reveal the financial aspects of their deal.
Activision is the second largest publisher of videogames in the US market and they usually deal with PC and Console games.
Glu Mobile on the other hand competes with EA and Gameloft in the mobile game market. Mobile games are increasingly becoming more and more popular as the devices are becoming more capable than ever. This has resulted in more regular game developers to look into this segment to earn more revenues.
