Sony to launch Go!Cam in Europe later this month
Japanese consumer electronics maker Sony has announced that they would be launching their Go!Cam Playstation Portable camera add-on in the European market on May 16.
This camera would be launched across Europe and in other PAL territories later this month. Sony claims that their Go!Cam product would allow the owners of PSP handheld console to make movies and capture photos.
This accessory for the Sony PSP device would sell for £34.99 (€49.99).
It comes loaded with a microphone and the company said that the lens can be twisted by 180 degrees for more freedom while taking the shots.
Stephane Hareau, PSP Marketing Manager, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe added on this product launch: “Go!Cam is fantastic news for all those PSP owners looking for something new, fun and creative. With Summer around the corner and the ability to turn your PSP into a mini [A1] camcorder and capture all the best moments in your life, this is yet another reason to get a PSP and to take advantage of truly portable entertainment. It demonstrates yet again the potential, versatility and evolving nature of PSP.”
Sony is shipping this camera product with Go!Edit, a software package for editing PSP photos and videos.
