EA developing four new games for the Apple iPod
Electronic Arts is trying to become a major player in the market of developing games for the mobile devices including the Apple iPod platform.
The company already has plans to launch four new Apple iPod games in the near future. EA has also predicted strong growth in the mobile gaming market its new fiscal year.
EA added that one of the new games being developed for the iPod is The Sims Bowling.
They are already selling five premium-priced games for the iPod. This itself makes them the largest maker of games for the iPod platform.
These games are Sudoku, Tetris, Mini Golf, Mahjong and Royal Solitaire and they are on sale on the Apple iTunes store for $4.99 each.
Market analysts believe that the company made a mistake by just focusing on the Xbox 360 and the PC. They have few games to offer on the Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii gaming platforms which is hurting their revenues.
