Electronic Arts developing The Simpsons Game
World’s largest videogame publisher Electronic Arts has announced that they are developing a videogame based on the hit television series Simpsons.
The company announced the upcoming release of ‘The Simpsons Game’ which they are developing in collaboration with Gracie Films and Twentieth Century Fox.
The game incidentally is not focused on the upcoming movie based on the television series. EA said that the game is based on the original story from writers who create the TV program.
The gaming company added that the game would feature the entire voice cast from the TV show. Gamers would be required to use their all new powers to save the world from rising chaos.
Homer, Marge, Bart, Maggie, and Lisa would be the playable characters in this upcoming game from EA. Scot Amos, Executive Producer of the Project added: “Our goal in developing ‘The Simpsons Game’ is to create the most original game ever, which is a lofty goal, and only possible given the close collaboration with ‘The Simpsons’ creative team. We are also especially proud of the game’s warm visual feel, which captures – for the first time ever in a game – the look of the TV show.”
The Simpsons Game is being developed for several gaming platforms including the PlayStation 3 (PS3), PlayStation 2 (PS2), PlayStation Portable (PSP), Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS.
