Microsoft gives a preview of their upcoming Halo 3 video game

Software giant Microsoft has given out a sneak preview of their upcoming Halo 3 video game which would be released on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Vista OS platform.

This is a crucial game for the company as it would be exclusive to the Xbox 360 gaming platform and could steal away customers from rivals Nintendo and Sony.

However, the experts invited at the preview had mixed opinions. Nicholas Puleo, editor of gaming news Web site Evilavatar.com spoke about the Halo 3 preview: “The graphics can use some work … They’re not much different than the previous Halo. They’ve got five, six months until release, so they’ll add some polish … When I compare it to other things in the platform, it’s not standout.”

Christopher Peragine added: “To get me as a player — to be vested in real-time game-play — the realism is critical. Once it gets past the Beta, it’s going to be a fantastic game.”

The original Halo was launched for the Microsoft Xbox gaming console and it has since then became one of the most successful games ever.

Craig Davison, Microsoft’s director of marketing spoke about Halo 3: “There’s a significant number of people just waiting for that one game and this is the game.”
