Sony PlayStation Portable to arrive in Europe on 1 September
Fans of Sony and their gaming platform in the European countries finally have some good news. The company has confirmed the date of the launch of Sony PSP in the European market. However, it would take a couple of months for that to happen considering the date is September 1. This means that Sony would take almost an entire year to launch this little gizmo in one of the biggest markets of the world.
The company would be releasing a PAL version of the handheld gaming console in a value pack offering at a price of approx £179. It would consist of the PSP device along with 32 Mb Memory Stick Duo, a battery pack, headphones with remote control, an AC Adaptor, wrist strap and a sampler disk. The disk would come with several non-interactive game demos.
Sony is also planning to give away free copies of Spiderman 2 on UMD to the early bird customers registering their device on the Sony’s website. This makes PSP an excellent value for money offering for the early buyers. Nintendo indeed have a tough competition ahead who are currently present in the market with their DS product.
PSP comes with stereo speakers and contain ports for USB 2.0 and 802.11b Wireless LAN. It enables the device to connect to the Internet and networking games between devices in close localities.
