The Sims Movie could be coming up next

Variety has reported that Electronic Arts has sold the movie rights for “The Sims” to 20th Century Fox.

This is a major deal considering The Sims is the best-selling computer game of all times and a possible movie on the subject would be an interesting project for the movie studio.

The Sims also happens to be one of the biggest franchise for EA which also happens to be the world’s largest videogame publisher.

EA has sold more than 85 million copies of various Sims based games around the world and it continues to remain a global favorite.

Rod Humble, head of The Sims Studio at EA was quoted in the media saying: “The Sims has done an interactive version of an old story, which is what it’s like to have infinite power and how do you deal with it.”

Variety did not however reveal any financial aspects of this deal which is yet to be confirmed by both the parties officially.
