Pac Man Championship Edition coming to Microsoft’s Xbox Live online service
Pac Man Championship Edition is coming to the Microsoft’s Xbox Live online service. The game is a tribute to the designer Toru Iwatani and is an interpretation of the original game which is around 27 years old.
This game is the second version personally designed by Toru Iwatani. It was originally created for the final round of the Xbox 360 Pac-Man World Championship in New York.
Iwatani works with Japan’s Namco Bandai Holdings and is leaving the company to spend more time teaching at the Tokyo Polytechnic University.
He said that he currently has no plans to develop another version of the famous game but could work with Namco in a supervisory position or work on a new version with his students.
Microsoft added that the game would be sold for about $10 as a download on the Xbox Live service starting today.
