Take-Two to benefit from Manhunt 2 launch delay, analysts believe
Industry analysts have said that Take-Two Interactive Software is likely to gain from the suspension of the launch of their latest gaming title Manhunt 2.
The company announced their decision to delay the launch of the game after it was banned in Britain and Ireland. The game has also been labeled an Adult Only rating by the agencies in the US market.
Analysts believe that the delay and the controversy is going to help the company boost the sales of the gaming title.
Colin Sebastian, senior research analyst at Lazard Capital Markets said that the game whenever it sees a launch is likely to see improved sales as the current controversy could give the title “a lot more exposure that would actually benefit game sales in the long run”,
Manhunt 2 was originally scheduled for a launch sometime next month. But the Adults Only rating means that both Sony and Nintendo have said that they are not going to endorse the game on their gaming platforms.
