No discount on Playstation 3 for European gamers

European gamers continue to get disappointing news from the Sony camp. The company delayed the launch of their PS3 gaming console in this market last year.

And now they have revealed that the recently announced price cut on the PS3 console in the US market would not be extended to the European market.

Sony added that they are instead planning to give purchasers £115 of additional content and hardware for free.

They are selling the console for £425 in the UK and €599 in Europe. These prices are expected to stay like this in the near future.

Sony has just reduced the price of the 60 GB Playstation 3 console version in the US market by USD 100.

David Reeves, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCCE) spoke on their offerings for the European market: “We are confident that this amazing value starter pack will encourage many more keen gamers to join the PS3 community.”
