Nickelodeon to invest massively in casual games division
Nickelodeon has said in a statement that they are going to invest $100 million in the expansion of online casual gaming ventures.
This investment would be made to expand their presence in the massive multiplayer online (MMO) games, virtual worlds and self-published gaming titles.
They would make this investment in the coming two years as the casual gaming market is seeing a massive boom.
The news was confirmed by the Nickelodeon Kids and Family Group president Cyma Zarghami.
He said in a statement: “Particularly in the kids space, with more than 86 percent of kids 8-14 gaming online, we see great momentum for online casual gaming. This investment will benefit not only our audiences but also our marketing and distribution partners.”
