Enterbrain: Nintendo Wii sales have crossed 3 million units in Japan

Video game magazine publisher Enterbrain has said in a report that as per their estimates Nintendo has already sold more than 3 million units of their Wii gaming console in the Japanese market.

This is interestingly around 3 times the units Sony has sold of their Playstation 3 console.

The data figures released by Enterbrain said that since its debut in Japan on December 2 Nintendo has sold 3.01 million units of Wii as of July 15.

This is impressive compared to sales of 1.01 million units of the Sony Playstation 3 gaming console.

Nintendo is seeing massive demand for their Wii gaming console in both US and Japanese markets.

The Wii sells for around half the price of the Sony Playstation 3 console which comes loaded with a Blu-Ray drive and much advanced hardware.
