Wing Commander Arena coming to Xbox Live Arcade

Market sources are claiming that the Xbox Live Arcade is scheduled to receive sometime this week a 3D remake of Wing Commander.

This game is expected to sell for around 800 Microsoft Points which makes it around USD 10.

Microsoft has not commented on this story but they are likely to make an announcement pretty soon.

Electronic Arts had talked about this game earlier this year and they had at that time said that it would appear on the Live Arcade sometime around September this year.

Wing Commander Arena is essentially a space combat game featuring up to 16 players online at once, ship customization, eight game maps (team maps, free for all maps and dueling maps) and four styles of play (single player, multi-team, multi-player free for all and multi-player duel).

If it is released this week, it would become the second title from Electronic Arts on the Xbox Live Arcade.
