ZeniMax Media establishes ZeniMax Online Studios
ZeniMax Media has announced that they are now creating ZeniMax Online Studios. They are also the parent company of the Bethesda Softworks.
The company added that this new unit would be headed by Matt Firor and they would concentrate on developing MMOs.
Firor is the founder of the Mythic Entertainment and is known for popular titles including Dark Age of Camelot.
Firor said in a statement on this new development: “This could not be a more perfect opportunity for me. I am extremely impressed with ZeniMax and Bethesda Softworks management – their development philosophy closely matches my own, with an emphasis on quality, innovation, and craftsmanship. I am eager to get back to what I love – the development of cutting-edge MMOG titles.”
James Leder, COO of ZeniMax Media had this to say: “We are excited about the opportunities we have in the online gaming space and felt that Matt is the perfect person to lead this effort.”
