Rockstar Grand Theft Auto IV delayed
Take-Two has announced that they are now delaying the launch of their much awaited highly anticipated videogame title Grand Theft Auto IV.
The game was originally scheduled to be launched in October this year. However, it is now expected to come out during the publisher’s fiscal 2008 Q2, ending April 2008.
The company said that they would need this extra time to complete the title to deliver a quality product.
Take-Two CEO Ben Feder said in a statement on this announcement: “Obviously, we are very disappointed to reduce guidance after having previously reaffirmed it. Other than a matter of timing, the movement of Grand Theft Auto IV does not compromise Take-Two in any way. We are in sound financial condition and have a great product line up.”
Chairman Strauss Zelnick added: “We don’t think it’s helpful or beneficial to go into exact details of what the technological issues are. I will say that the reason that it is being delayed is almost strictly technological.”
