Croteam is seriously coming out with Serious Sam 2
Remember 2001. Most FPSs were hankering to the NOLF or HL model to up their sales, but failing miserably. They saw great game play in those games, yes. They were now tracking it down like a rabid dog, hackin off its legs with a hedge trimmer, raping it with a piece of wood, and boiling its corpse in an acid bath. Some were getting it right, but they did not have the IT factor anymore.
Along came Serious Sam, a budget game from an unknown team in Croatia, and blew everyone’s left nut off. A gorgeous engine married with a game play that made it the spiritual successor of Doom, only a funny, in your face stand up comedian nephew, than a mean devil worshipping stepson. Waves and hordes of funny and menacing enemies, over the top weapons and a hero who sounded like Ash. Wow, says I.

Croteam is now coming out with Serious Sam 2, complete with a brand new engine and bells and whistle in places you did not know existed. All without compromising the hungry hungry hordes of enemies. Major additions over the engine upgrade include usable vehicles and rides, organic ones that is. The classical weapons are back with graphical upgrades, and some new ones have been introduced, including a Parrot with a bomb tied to its feet. Heh. Croteam promises upgraded physics and bigger levels, 40 of them in fact, so this is something I am looking forward to. PC and current generation Xbox.
