Ubisoft predicts that videogame market would grow 50% in next four years
Videogame maker Ubisoft has high hopes from the market. The company has stated that they expect the world’s videogame market to grow 50% in next four years.
Ubisoft chief executive said in a statement that the market is expected to see growth as it extends beyond hardcore gamers.
He said: “There are so many new customers to the business; this is going to grow the market tremendously. I expect the market to grow by 50 percent in the next four years. It’s a very exciting time for all the developers and publishers.”
Looks like Nintendo has definitely proven a fact with their Wii gaming console. The company took a gamble by launching a less powerful machine at a cheap price which offer innovative game play to any genre of society.
EA’s managing director for Germany, Thomas Zeitner added in his own statement: “There are 150 million gamers worldwide, but 2 billion people are ready to play.” Electronic Arts is the world’s largest videogame publisher.
