Rockstar Games to launch a toned-down version of Manhunt 2 in October
Rockstar Games have given up. They have now announced their plans to release a toned-down version of their much in controversy Manhunt 2 videogame in October this year.
The game had been given adults-only rating by the agencies in several countries. This could have resulted in less sales for the games as major retailing stores would not have carried the title at all.
Manhunt 2 was originally scheduled for a launch in July this year but the company delayed the launch due to rating issues.
The developers said that they are aiming to get a less-stringent “M” for the toned down version of the game.
The company had this to say on what changes are planned for the toned down version: “Manhunt 2 is important to us, and we’re glad it can finally be appreciated as a gaming experience.”
It added that the game would ship in the United States on Halloween for the Playstation 2, Playstation Portable and Nintendo Wii game systems.
