Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground coming this October

Videogame publisher Activision has announced in a statement that they would be shipping the next Tony Hawk game in October this year.

The game has been titled Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground and it would be available in retail stores starting October 9.

The company would also make available a free early demo of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for Xbox 360 owners.

The updated Tony Hawk game would feature enhanced character development, video editing, online play and wide-open environments.

It would be launched for several platforms including Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, Playstation 2 and Nintendo DS.

The company added that Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock would be launched on October 29.

Dusty Welch, head of publishing at Activision division RedOctane spoke about the game: “Music is such a huge part of skateboarding culture and pairing the Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock demo with Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground makes perfect sense.”
