   this sucks, why are you acting as if the Revolution doesn’t exist. maybe i want to here what nintendo’s capabilities are not just PS3 and Xbox360

   It seems that no one really knows the true specs of either system. I know what Microsoft released but is it the truth? Bill Gates has been known to give out false information or partly false information to keep the leakers at a miminum and this time there were all kinds of leaks, I see this as not like Bill Gates so something is up his sleeves. I think Bill Gates made Sony come out with either some false specs for the PS3 which I think are probably a lot more powerful than they will end up being and I think that Microsoft released specs that are not what will be on the final unit and they are probably lower than the actual specs. I really makes no sense for Gates to release early and his goal has always been beat the competition at their own game. sony has been real good at telling whoppers about their systems so when the are finally in the hands of softare users and tech people who will then see the real specs. Right now they are pretty much even, and I do not agree looking at what I read that the PS3 is graphically superior, not at all, they are about dead equal. Which is another reason I am holding judgement on which system is better. All I know is that Bill Gates too great pride in having a much more powerful system in the XBOX than the PS2 and that is what got him to eat into Sony’s market share. Build a better box and the kids will go for it. Most kids know nothing of the electronics, they read this has a higher number than this one so it must be better. As you know it all depends on the architecture and the way the processor is used in conjunction with Graphics and polygon rendetion. Memory is somewhat important and they are both at 512 so that is not the issue. I also heard that Sony doctored the demo’s they showed so the PS3 would look much better than it really does, so who in heck knows which is better, let us see the final products sitting on a techs table and let them tear into them. Then we will know what are the true specs of both systems.

   im not sure about all the wireless controller for either machine. They need to have a rechargable lithium ion battey and i think they would be good but if that run on AA or sumthin thatll suck. Wireless controller suck the juice out of batteries like theres no tommarow.

   Alright I’m not laying down any specs, but when it comes to the GPU the ATI chip in 360 will murder. I read that the “RSX” is like having two Nvidia 6800 Ultras, but the ATI chip is like 4 times as powerful as an X850. Just a few words, 48 Unified Pipelines, and 10 mb of eDRAM producing about 256 Gb/s of bandwith. I personally like Nvidia I have their GPU in my PC, but I’m pretty sure that the ATI chip wins hands down.

   7x SPE @3.2GHz
   The SPE’s only run at 1GHZ each. Only the main PowerPC runs at 3.2GHZ.

    You people are all idiots, we cant compare the consoles until they come out and we won’t be able to acuratly compare them until then. Also, while hardware is important, what counts the most is the games. If hardware was the only thing that mattered then the sega dreamcast would have been the most sucsessful console of it’s generation, but because all it’s games sucked, it was the worst selling console of it’s generation. All this bickering about “Oh, the new xbox is going to be better” and “All you xbox fans are deluded, ps3 is going to be better” is getting tiresom. You guys need to do something else to pass the time until the new consoles come out. You people all need lives if your going to spend months arguing over which console is better.

    i have been to way to many websites and i have no f#####ng idea what all these numbers mean and why the crap are SONY and MICROSOFT making the stuff look better or lying and all that crap. so if anyone can tell me which system is going to be better in which areas that would really help, and if you could tell me which one is going to be better overall and hey, what about the nintendo revolution is anybody worrying about that

    Basically, both systems will be about the same. It just matters what kind of games you like. If you like FPS games, or you like playing on line, the Xbox 360 is for you! If you like Japanese games or RPGs than the PS3 is for you.

    Currently, I think the 360 has a better line up of games than the PS3, and I am deffinately getting the 360. Maybe the PS3, but after a price drop, and if more better games come out for it.

    As for which company can you trust more in their products, I would have to say Microsoft. Sony had lied to many times about the PS2 when it came out, and underdelivered most of wht they said they would.

    I am not a Sony hater, but I have more trust in Microsoft.

    Plus, Have you seen Gears of War footage??? OMG!! *drools..* it even beats the CG’d preview of Killzone!!

    I think xbox is going to blow playstation out of the water plus as far as I know xbox is much better becaus it has Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. And it will also be much cheaper, and out sooner

    both systems will rock in my opinion and ill probably end up getting both eventualy theres always games that one has the other doest that rock. i do not agree with most sights saying playstation 3 is 2 times more powerful than 360 though that information is completly false and dont go by how many teraflops somthing is thats floating point performance wich realy dont mean squat its all the other things that matter.360 has over 270 gbs of system bandwidth giving it 5 x the memory bandwidth of the playstation 3 allowing it to fully flow all its information through it more freely with no bottlnecks. the 360 also has more proccessing power than ps3 the cell is not designed for games its a computer chip they put in a game machine. the 7 cores are not full purpose cpus but little helpers to make the main cores life easier. the general purpose cpus are more powerful than 1 with boosters, the cell can do cabable proc speeds equal to that of 4.6 ghz wich is faster than a single 3.2 ghz chip but it is still not as fast as 3 3.2 ghz chips with 1 mb cachs on them. the graphics chip in playstation 3 is were its real power is. the nvidia chip in ps3 is very powerful equal to 2 geforce 6800 ultras thats insane. the 360s is also quite impressive 48 pixel pipelines is insane the highest end pc chips only have 16 pipes :0. this mean 360 has some serious polygon power in a real techy comparison the systems are pretty close in power the ps3 having a bit more power in certain areas but the 360 comes ahead in bandwidth and full purpose proc power but what it realy all comes down to is the games and both will have great games it will be a matter of opinion on wich one you think has better games diehard ps fans will get ps3 cause its backwards compatible xbox fans are more towards halo series.i think both will rock though and i like the xbox just a tad more because of halo 3 and gears of war will both rock and it has a good past for great fps. :)

    hey i dont know what to say other than i cant wait to see the PS3 come out and see what it has to offer i think it has a really good chance of being better than the Xbox 360 but the one thing that is not good for the PS3 is that it seems sence the Xbox came out alot of the games that were just for PS2 went over to Xbox like one of the best series of all time the GTA series went over to Xbox but i am still going to stick by the system i think will be the best which is the PS3 and i cant wait until it comes out to where i can get one and get some of the alsome games that they will have for it!!!!

    Sean Oâ??Brien, hardly any of the specs of the NR came out but i suppose that the revolution and ps3 are gonna get microsoft out of buisness because of the date xbox360 is selling their system. They used the same stragady as that sega system. (i think it was called dreamcast) and they out of the buisness because of it. Any way X box 360 and ps3 are almost the same exept ps3 it a bit more better. If you were to compair the graphics and speed of both while playing. You will hardly tell the difference. Revolution is going to e the system that sells to kids, so its probably that they are goign to make large prophits like it did with the gc

    We all know that the PS3 is going to be better all around because up to 7 wireless controllers the 360 only has up to 4 wireless controllers and you can play ps2 and ps1 games on the ps3 unlike the 360 which can’t even play xbox games and there is nothing different about the 360 ,same controllers same games and everything else but the PS3 is totally different and since the 360 is already out they have to save the best for last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ok… I really dont know why people think Xbox 360 is better than PS3, its not! PS3 has a much better prossesser and one thing that pisses me off, is that people think that since Xbox has 512 memory and PS3 has 256 Xbox is better??? what the hell… PS3 has a better chip and im not saying microsoft is bad but I think sony is much better.     what the f**k are yall saying the xbox 360 is alot better because sony says that the cell processor can produce its own graphics thats a lie they also say that killzone and all the games at e3 were in real time but most were proven to be pre rendered. playstation is nothing great and the xbox 360 is nothing great but is still better than the playstation 3 by a wide margin because of graphics power and xbox live service sony may be foolin people into thinking that their console is the best but until i see it first hand i wont believe s**t.

    ok i’m not sure wich one is better but i really support the xbox 360 a mean the xbox looks ace and the ps3 looks more like summit youd find in the kitchen, like a bread bin or summit. Also by the looks of the stats the ps3 is way over priced £445 or summit like that. the 360 is quite expensive but no wher near as much as the bloody ps3. in the end i think i’ll end up gettin the 360. oh yeh and does anyone know if killzone2 will be coming out for the 360…..

    To the people that said about Microsoft not telling the truth, they really should look @ the facts about Sony’s lies when the PS2 was about to launch, also how they underhandedly paid 3rd party companies not to release their games for the Sega Dreamcast and helped Sega go into ruin, and also think of the fact that they have been taking the credit for other hardware/softare ideas that other companies did. They took credit for being the “first CD-based systems ever” when Sega had the Sega CD on the Genesis. Who can forget that they took credit for the “Dual Shock” Controllers, when they were out for other consoles before that. Yes, I do give Sony credit that they created a good system with the PlayStation 1, but the fact that they didn’t even try to do better with the PlayStation 2 is an insult. Wake up people, Bill Gates has been in the game and is richer than Sony, also the fact that the gaming division is the only thing keeping Sony alive is something to laugh at.
