”Team Sexy” Wins Play N Trade National Gears of War Tournament

Lodi, California Store Hosts Championship Team

Play N Trade Franchise, Inc., one of the fastest-growing franchises worldwide, today announced that “Team Sexy” won the championship round of its first National Gears of War Tournament and the $2,000 grand prize of in-store credit. Teams from Play N Trade stores across the country battled all day Saturday, Sept. 15, with the final round ending at 5:30 p.m. PT.

Team Sexy members are Andrew Battaglia, David Baxley, Eloy Jimenez, Aaron Padron and Damon Williams. They started every round with, “Okay, let’s have fun.” This battle strategy proved to be a winner, as Team Sexy eliminated the competition with relative ease, beating just about every opponent in three rounds. Only one team took them to three matches.

“Teams from Puerto Rico to Hawaii competed in the Play N Trade National Gears of War Tournament and as we expand our footprint, the national tournaments generate more and more excitement in the gaming community from coast to coast,” said Yuvi Shmul, CEO of Play N Trade. “Play N Trade tournaments give local gamers the chance to meet each other face to face and a chance to compete at the national level for great prizes. Our tournaments also draw friends, family and other fans into the store to cheer for their local team.”

Local rounds of the tournament were played on Sept. 8 at participating Play N Trade stores nationwide, and attracted more than 1,500 players. A total of 37 teams competed in the national championship.
