Sony Playstation 3 Home service delayed
More disappointing news for the owners of the Sony Playstation 3 gaming console. The company has now revealed that the launch of the much talked about Home service for the PS3 has now been delayed.
The company now expects to launch the Home virtual world service for the PS3 sometime next spring. It was expected to be launched before the end of the year.
The console is already struggling to compete against the Microsoft Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii… This latest announcement of the delay is not going to please many Sony fans.
Sony Corp.’s video game business chief Kazuo Hirai said in a statement: “We wanted to wait until we could offer what would be totally satisfying for consumers.”
This was his first major public appearance at his new position in the company. Not a very impressive start for him. He further admitted that: “The results we have produced so far have been unfortunate.”
