The company announced that the service would be launched in India by the end of December this year.
The service has been designed to enable Xbox 360 owners to connect to each other. They can interact with each other, play against each other and even share stuff.
Indian gamers would be able to connect to more than seven million members across 25 countries when the service is launched later this year.
It offers downloadable media some of which is to be paid for. It includes music videos, movie trailers, playable game demos, multi-player games.
Gamers would also be able to connect and log in to their Window Live Messenger profiles to chat with their friends and relatives using their Xbox 360 consoles.
