Nintendo unlikely to meet US Christmas demand for Wii
Nintendo Wii has been selling like hot cakes ever since it was launched last year. The company has now somewhat admitted that they would face shortage of supplies this coming holiday season.
Nintendo US president Reginald Fils-Aime said in a statement that they are unlikely to be able to meet the demand in the market for the second time this year.
Wii has been flying off the stores as soon as it arrives. The best way has been to get it from eBay at a slightly inflated price.
Fils-Aime was quoted as saying to the media: “We’re working very hard to make sure that consumers are satisfied this holiday, but I can’t guarantee that we’re going to meet demand. As a matter of fact, I can tell you on the record that we won’t.”
