Halo 3 sales touched worldwide sales of $300 million in first week

Halo 3 continues to create new records with its recent launch in the worldwide market for the Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming console.

The software giant has now claimed that the game resulted in worldwide sales of $300 million in its first week.

This makes it one of the best selling games of the year already. Microsoft is now hoping that the console would help them double the sales of the gaming console in the market.

It said in a statement: “Initial reports from retailers worldwide show console sales have more than doubled compared with the weekly average before the launch of ‘Halo 3.”

Microsoft further said that all the games in this series have now sold more than 20 million copies.
