Nintendo: No price cut planned for Wii
Sony and Microsoft both have announced price cuts on their gaming consoles as they aim to enhance the sales of PS3 and Xbox 360 this coming holiday season.
However, Nintendo has said that they currently have no plans to cut the price of the Wii gaming console.
The company is selling off each and every unit of Wii they make and it continues to remain in shortage in the US market.
Nintendo has already clarified that they might not be able to meet the demand this holiday season and this means that they really have no incentive to decrease the price of the console.
George Harrison, senior vice president of marketing at Nintendo America added in a statement: “We’ll stay at $249 for the foreseeable future. We are still selling everything we can make.”

ofcourse they wont cut the price.. that would be the stupiest thing ever.. as mentioned in the news above, the Wii still sell pretty good..so they dont haver to cut the price.. and its pretty cheap to begin with too..
not like sonys ps3.. its very expensive and it almost doesnt sell at all.. so they have to cut the price.. haven set the price that high to begin with was just greedy and stupid.. and no.. im not a sony hater.. if you see it from afar and look at Nintendo and sony, it is clearly that Nintendo is the smart guys in this “gen war”
