Players Team up with Nicktoons New Video Game Characters – Stimpy from Ren & Stimpy and Tak from Tak and the Power of Juju - as They Combine Forces to Help Defeat Professor Calamitous
THQ Inc. (NASDAQ:THQI) today announced the release of Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots for PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, Nintendo’s Wii™ home video game system, Nintendo DS™ and Game Boy® Advance. The game marks the third installment in THQ’s Nicktoons series, which has shipped more than two million units in North America. Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots is rated “E” for everyone and is available at the suggested retail prices of $49.99 (Wii), $29.99 (PlayStation 2 system, DS) and $19.99 (Game Boy Advance).
Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots features 11 playable characters from the most popular Nickelodeon animated shows including SpongeBob SquarePants, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius, Danny Phantom, Tak and the Power of Juju and Ren and Stimpy. Making their video game debut in Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots are new squad members Tak (Tak and the Power of Juju) and Stimpy (Ren and Stimpy). Players will experience five different worlds as they work to defeat Professor Calamitous and his vast army of evil toys based on the Nicktoons Heroes. In addition, players will utilize all-new mech suits in their effort to defeat the Nicktoons evil duplicates. Nicktoons: Attack of the Toybots also features two-player cooperative modes, as well as special Hero Zones customized so that the Nicktoons can utilize their unique abilities, such as SpongeBob’s “Tongue Sliding” and Tak’s “Jungle Gymnasium”.
