PlayStation 3 help sets a new Guinness World Record
Sony Playstation 3 gaming console might not be making sales record but it has indeed helped Stanford University’s Folding@home project to establish a new Guinness World Record.
Guinness has now certified that the project is now the world’s most powerful distributed computing system.
Sony Playstation 3 console owners around the world contribute to this project by providing the processing power of the gaming device.
Sony claimed that the Folding@home topped 1 petaflop last month. Sony PS3 consoles helped a lot in achieving this target.
Looks like Sony has finally managed to get some favorable PR with this new record!
