Electronic Arts posts a second-quarter net loss
Videogame publisher Electronic Arts has posted a second quarter net loss. EA suffered from falling sales.
But they are expecting a blockbuster holiday season this year end and are hoping that the figures would be quite impressive for this next quarter.
EA posted a net loss of $195 million, or 62 cents per share. This is disappointing compared to profit of $22 million, or 7 cents per share last year in the same period.
The figures are also low because the company changed the way they now account sales of online-enabled games.
They are now forecasting adjusted earnings of 75 cents to 95 cents per share on sales of $1.33 to $1.58 billion for the third quarter of the fiscal year.
