Grand Theft Auto IV launch to take place when its ready

Take 2 has stated that they would launch the much awaited next version in the Grand Theft Auto series when its ready.

A company representative said: “We’re going to give a firm date when we are utterly convinced that we have it and that isn’t right now. We’re not in the business of disappointing investors.”

It was originally scheduled for launch in October this year. The company later delayed the launch to sometime in spring next year.

Take Two had said at that time: “Certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected, especially given the commitment for a simultaneous release on two very different platforms.”

Market analysts fear that the company might delay the game even more to make use of the craze of the next year’s holiday season.
