Sony Playstation 3 would soon support DivX
DivX Inc. has announced that they are collaborating with Sony and would soon make available support for the DivX technology to PS3 owners.
This is great news for Sony PS3 fans as they would now be able to access a wide variety of media available online in DivX format.
This new feature is likely to be made available through a software update for the existing PS3 owners.
Kevin Hell, CEO of DivX, Inc. added in a statement on this new development: “We are excited to work with Sony Computer Entertainment to bring DivX to PS3. Our technology will expand the multimedia functionality of PS3 by enabling users to enjoy access to the broad library of content in the DivX digital media format.”
