Nintendo Wii on top again in the USA

Looks like Microsoft’s happiness was short lived with the sales of their Xbox 360 gaming console.

Nintendo Wii has made a comeback by coming at top of the charts once again. NPD Group has stated in its report that Wii was the number 1 selling gaming console in the US market last month.

Nintendo Wii sold around 519,000 units in the US in October. In comparison, Microsoft managed to sell 366,000 units. Sony was the last as usual with sales of 121,000 Playstation 3 units.

Microsoft had overtaken Wii in the previous month as they launched the Halo 3 game for the Xbox 360 which helped them with a major boost in sales of the console.

Nintendo however continues to face supplies shortage in the US market which is hurting their sales figures.
