Ubisoft post profits for the first half of 2007-08

Europe’s largest video games publisher Ubisoft has come out with their revenue report and the company has posted a profit for the first half of 2007-08.

The company gained from improved sales of their gaming titles and they are now keeping their financial goals for the full year.

Ubisoft further said that the next financial year would be “another year of robust growth for the group.”

Company Chief Executive Yves Guillemot had this to say on their improved performance: “Early indications for our Christmas games launches have been positive, especially for ‘Assassin’s Creed; whose sell-through sales have already topped the record level of one million units.”

Ubisoft posted profits of 9.1 million Euros in the first six months of the current financial year. This is impressive compared to a loss of 33.6 million Euros in the same period of 2006-07.
