Nintendo Wii continues to sell well
Nintendo Wii continues to remain a best seller. The device also continues to remain in shortage in the US market.
Nintendo sold 350,000 units of Wii gaming console last week. This makes it one of the best weeks for Wii sales since the launch of this innovative gaming console.
Nintendo is also well on track to touch sales of 17.5 million Wiis in the fiscal year ending March 31.
They are working hard on manufacturing enough units to meet the demand in the market. Nintendo has already enhanced the manufacturing capacity to about 1.8 million per month.
Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime spoke about the popularity of Wii in the US market: “I couldn’t find a single Wii system on the shelves — literally as I was walking into a Wal-Mart at 11 a.m., someone was walking out with the last one. Consumers are buying every game we can put into the system.”
