ATI Technologies launches All-In-Wonder X800 XL PCI Express
The war between Nvidia and ATI continues with the latest offering from the stables of ATI in the form of All-In-Wonder X800 XL PCI Express. The card comes integrated with a TV Tuner card though lacks as much graphical power as the previously launched All-In-Wonder X800 XT. However, that card came with the AGP Bus the latest one comes on PCI Express.
All-In-Wonder X800 XT now becomes the most powerful PCI Express card ATI makes with a built-in TV tuner would cost USD 399 in the retail market. This price is 50 dollars lower than the AGP version. In other recent product launches, the company recently introduced the All-In-Wonder 2006 Edition, which came in the AGP version.
All-In-Wonder 2006 Edition came with medium-range graphics power, plus the TV tuner, for $199 including the price of a remote control. The company has also launched an electronic programming guide for use with its HDTV Wonder. This enables the users to get access to over-the-air HDTV programming.
The company also brings support for Microsoft’s Windows Media Center Edition 2005 in their latest updated graphic cards. The cards also does not come with any digital rights management (DRM) features though it might change in the near future as the law takes its own course.
