Nintendo Wii and Call of Duty dominated November sales charts

Market research firm NPD has come out with their latest report on videogame industry for the month of November.

As per the report, Nintendo Wii continued to dominate the sales chart. Overall, the industry saw sales of video-game hardware and software growing by around 50%.

Microsoft managed to garner the biggest chunk of total spending while Sony was the biggest gainer in terms of sales.

Nintendo Wii sold around 981,000 units in November which is its best performance since its launch in the previous year.

Microsoft Xbox 360 sold 770,000 units. Sony managed to sell around 466,000 units of Playstation 3 console.

Activision’s Call of Duty 4 was the top selling game in the month. Guitar Hero 3 was also on the best sellers list.
