Activision gains from Call of Duty 4 and Guitar Hero 3

Videogame developer Activision has posted an impressive higher-than-expected quarterly profit as they gained from the popularity of their gaming titles “Call of Duty 4″ and “Guitar Hero 3″.

They are now expecting revenues touching $350 million in the quarter which would be an improvement of around 25% compared to their revenues in the previous year in the same period.

Market analyst Ed Williams spoke about the company: “What’s yet to be demonstrated is whether demand for ‘Guitar Hero’ will be as robust throughout Europe as a whole as it has in the North American market.”

Activision Chief Executive Bobby Kotick added: “All those products will be important this year but ‘Guitar Hero 3′ will probably be the most important.” They are scheduled to launch games like Kung Fu Panda this year.
