iSuppli claims Wii would dominate Xbox 360 by the end of the year
Market research firm iSuppli has said in a report that as per their estimates Nintendo Wii console would displace Microsoft’s Xbox 360 as the new-generation game machine.
Nintendo Wii is already outselling the competing consoles in several international markets and they are likely to become the dominating player in the coming months.
iSuppli said that as per their estimates global installed base of Wii game consoles will rise to 30.2 million units in 2008. This would put it much ahead of the installed base of the Microsoft Xbox 360 console.
Nintendo Wii has been so successful in the market that it is still hard to find in many markets like the US.
Sony on the other hand is still struggling though is now performing well with their Playstation 3 console.

This is the information you are referring to right?

This is pretty obviously garbage. Not only are the figures for 2007 wrong (the Wii actually sold more units) but if you look further along, apparently the Xbox 360 and Wii are going to sell minus numbers in 2011. I wonder how Nintendo and Microsoft plan to do this, invade people homes and force refunds on them?
The vast majority of analysts get this wrong. This one is probably the worse I have seen in a while though. Please don’t do them any favours by blindly passing on their information without questioning it.
