Yamake: Nokia N-Gage now open to third party developers
Nokia has now made its N-Gage platform open to third party developers. The company has now made available a new tool which would allow developers to create their own games for devices which are compatible with the N-Gage mobile phone game service.
The tool has been named Yamake and it has been developed by the Nokia Games Publishing. The company said that this makes it possible for the developers to add their own content to different mini games. These games can then be shared with others in the Yamake community.
Mark Ollila, who heads Nokia Games Publishing spoke about this new tool: “This is exactly what the future of mobile gaming should be about - creating games that you love and want to play, then sharing them with other players.”
