Microsoft has confirmed that they would be launching the next game in their Gears of War videogame franchise later this year.

Gears of War has been a massively successful title for the company and the next version would now be on every hardcore gamer’s list.

Epic Games, the developer of the game has revealed that Gears of War 2 would be launched for the Xbox 360 gaming console before the start of the holiday season later this year.

The first game was launched in November 2006 and helped Microsoft massively with the sales of the Xbox console.
