Sprint to offer Electronic Arts game on mobiles

Sprint Corporation has announced a deal they have signed with the videogaming giant Electronic Arts. As per the deal, the telecommunication giant would be offering several popular EA video games developed for the small screen devices to their wireless customers. These Electronic Arts games include popular titles like “Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006″ and “Poppit!”.

These games would be available through Sprint’s Game Lobby. This is a community website where users can download and share their gaming scores for comparison with other gamers using the similar services. This would interest a lot of gamers who play games on the move on their handheld devices like PDAs and mobile phones.

In related news, Electronic Arts had also announced an agreement to make its games available to rival Verizon Wireless’ Get It Now customers. Being one of the most popular gaming companies around, looks like it has an edge over the rivals when it comes to being the popular choice amongst the wireless service providers.

The initial launch of these services is expected to be on in the next couple of weeks. This deal helped the EA’s shares to improve in the market by around 54 cents. Since, the gaming on wireless market is just heating up… we expect more such collaborations to take place in the near future.
