RealNetworks acquire Trymedia online gaming service
RealNetworks Inc has announced that they have now acquired the assets of Trymedia from Macrovision Corp.
Trymedia is an online game technology company and the acquisition would boost RealNetworks’ games syndication business.
The deal was worth around USD 4 million as per market sources.
RealNetworks said in a statement that this deal would help them expand their presence in the online game business.
They had last year acquired another company named Game Trust as part of a similar strategy.
