Microsoft: Xbox 360 shortage causing drop in sales

Microsoft has said that the shortage in the supplies of their Xbox 360 gaming console is the primary reason for the dropping sales.

NPD Group had recently stated that Xbox 360 sales were trailing substantially when compared to rival consoles. Even Sony Playstation 3 managed to beat it in terms of sales.

Microsoft said in an emailed statement: “Our retailers are telling us that Xbox 360 is selling as fast as they can restock, but due to this high demand, Xbox 360 is experiencing temporary shortages. We are working as quickly as we can to replenish inventory.”
