Electronic Arts extends their acquisition offer for Take-Two

Videogame industry giant Electronic Arts has said in a statement that they are now extending their $2 billion hostile bid for Take-Two Interactive Software by another week.

The offer has been already rejected by Take-Two as they said that it was too low and ill timed.

EA said in its statement that it had moved the deadline for shareholders to tender Take-Two stock to April 18. The offer was earlier supposed to end on April 11.

Take-Two has already requested their shareholders to reject the EA bid as they are currently scheduled to launch the highly awaited gaming title GTA 4.
