BBC iPlayer coming to Nintendo Wii

UK based media group BBC has said that they are now bringing their iPlayer application to the Nintendo Wii platform.

The service enables a user to watch BBC programmes online.

They aim to launch an early edition of the service today. They would keep on enhancing it to make it more stable as it gets tested by the users.

Erik Huggers, BBC’s group controller for Future Media and Technology spoke about this new development: “The BBC’s catch-up TV service can now be accessed on an increasing number of different platforms – from the web and portable devices to gaming consoles.”

Nintendo Wii owners would be able to access this new feature via the internet channel on the Wii console.
