The Sims has now sold more than 100 million copies!
Electronic Arts has announced that they have sold more than 100 million copies of their The Sims games.
This makes it the world’s best selling computer game.
Nintendo’s Mario franchise is otherwise the best selling game on all the platforms with 201 million units sold.
EA publishes and sell this game in as many as 60 countries and 22 languages.
Market analyst Anita Frazier spoke about this gaming title: “‘The Sims’ helped usher in a new type of virtual social game play, and with the increase in online gaming and multiplayer gaming, the social aspect and appeal of gaming is quite evident.”
