Vixture gaming championship in India
Zero Friction has announced that they are collaborating with videogame publisher Electronic Arts to launch a new gaming championship in India.
They have named this new tournament Vixture.
This tournament would have prize money of Rs. 50 lakhs making it the largest of its kind in India.
The company said that this tournament is likely to attract as many as 50,000 gamers from more than 500 top Gameplexes.
Charu Sabale, Director, Zero Friction added: “Unlike other parts of the world, gaming in India does not enjoy recognition as serious sport. Vixture will provide give a platform for budding Indian talent to showcase their skills. The largest ever prize money offered by Vixture indicates the commitment of Zero Friction to gaming in India.”
Some of the games to be featured in this tournament would be Crysis, Need For Speed ProStreet, Cricket 07, FIFA 08 and Fight Night Round 3.
