Grand Theft Auto 4 coming up tomorrow

Take-Two Interactive Software is all set to launch their new Grand Theft Auto IV videogame tomorrow.

The game is being launched for Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony Playstation 3 gaming consoles.

Market analysts believe that this game is going to smash a lot of videogame records related to sales.

Mike Hickey, an analyst with Janco Partners in Greenwood Village, Colorado said that they expect the game to generate first week revenues of $360 million. This would easily smash the record set by Halo 3.

The game sales are crucial for Take Two which is facing an acquisition bid by Electronic Arts.

Take-Two Chief Executive Officer Benjamin Feder spoke about the game: “April 29 has been a key date with respect to discussions. We’ve repeatedly said that the full commercial potential of `GTA IV’ will only be evident after the launch.”
