Rumors in the market claims that the launch date for the Xbox 360 in the European market is expected to be November 25. United States as a result would be getting the product in the market a couple of days or weeks ahead of the European launch. However, after Sony reporting that they might have to charge more for their upcoming Sony PlayStation 3, Microsoft itself might put on a high price tag for the Xbox 360.

Online sources reveal that Microsoft might sell the initial shipment of the Xbox 360 gaming console for as much as UKP 299. The official announcement from the company however is only expected to be out at Game Convention in Leipzig. The partners of the Microsoft in the making of the gaming console would get the idea a little before that.

While the shipment date is confirmed to the current year… the pricing has been a bit complicated with reports saying that even Microsoft is not sure about the final pricing structure. Being the first one out with their product in the next generation consoles, they do not have a benchmark to match up the pricing. Sony would have an added advantage of knowing how much they can charge for their Playstation 3 when they launch it sometime next year.

If Europe gets the Xbox 360 for around UKP 299 as expected, United States would be getting it around somewhere near USD 500, which is much more than the expected pricing in the earlier days by the media analysts. Microsoft has expected has not replied on their part on these rumors floating in the market.
