Videogame industry sales touch $1.12 billion in revenues last month
May was a great month for the videogame industry.
The sales in this market in USA alone touch $1.12 billion. This included the revenues from video games, consoles and game accessories.
NPD Group reported that Nintendo Wii remained the top selling console in May with sales of 675,100 units.
Nintendo DS took the second spot with sales of 452,600 units.
Sony Playstation 3 was third with 208,700 units sold in May.
Microsoft Xbox 360 sold 186,600 units.
Grand Theft Auto 4 was the top selling videogame with sales of 871,300 units in May.
